Comox Air Show

Comox Air Show

Saturday May 18th is the Comox Air Show at 19 Wing Comox – celebrating 100 years of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Passenger flights to and from YQQ are occurring as normal, but there are a few tips that will help you if your travels include us:

  • Be aware of road closures. Eastbound Knight Road traffic to YQQ is the best route to take to park, pick up or drop off at the airport. It is prohibited for air show patrons, and will be easiest for you.

  • Print and display your Passenger Pass. Click Here to download your print-at-home placard. Display this on your dash to make traffic control points a breeze on your way to the airport - whether you’re a passenger or just picking up or dropping off.

  • Arrive early. Using ride share, transit, taxi or your own vehicle – the roads around YQQ may be very busy. Allow extra time to arrive to the terminal to ensure things go smoothly.
We’ll be bussing passengers between the YQQ terminal building, and the aircraft departing from adjacent 19 Wing Comox base. It’s best to plan for and allow extra time for each step of your travels on May 18th.
