ARTWRX Studio+Gallery Presents Gathering Light, Gathering Place Show at YQQ

The Comox Valley Airport is pleased to once again partner with ARTWRX Studio + Gallery to present its annual spring exhibition. The Gathering Light, Gathering Place show transforms the terminal into a welcoming gallery space for travellers throughout the spring and summer months. The Courtenay-based collective has contributed more than 50 original works.

"We're delighted to continue our partnership with ARTWRX and showcase the talent of local artists in our terminal," says Comox Valley Airport CEO Mike Atkins. "This exhibit enhances the travel experience while highlighting the creativity and character of the Comox Valley's arts community."

"The artists at ARTWRX Studio+Gallery Society are grateful to have our work displayed at the Comox Valley Airport," adds gallery manager and artist Sharon LaLonde. "We consider it our personal welcome to those visiting Vancouver Island and a comforting reminder of home to those jetting off on their adventures."

ARTWRX Studio+Gallery is a collective of artists who share a creative space and the journey of art creation. The studio welcomes visitors by appointment, offering an intimate look at the collective's latest works within their shared creative home.

For those unable to experience the exhibit in person, a virtual gallery is available on the Comox Valley Airport's website. All featured works can be purchased through ARTWRX Studio or directly from the artists. The exhibition will remain on display through mid-October.
