Comox Valley Arts and the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) Present "Thresholds"

Comox Valley Arts (CV/Arts) is pleased to announce its upcoming curated exhibition Thresholds, opening Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ). The show will run through April 15, 2026, transforming the airport's terminal into a gallery of regional creativity.

Thresholds are the spaces between what is and what might be: the edge of transformation, possibility, and becoming. This show invites artists and audiences alike to pause in the in-between, to consider where we are and what comes next.

For more than twenty years, Comox Valley Arts and the Comox Valley Airport have partnered with the shared goal of highlighting the region's exceptional creative talent. This longstanding collaboration offers regional artists a unique public venue where thousands of residents and visitors experience the arts.

This year's call for artists drew an unprecedented number of submissions, with an exciting increase in participation from young and emerging artists. The surge reflects the growing energy and diversity of the local arts community and underscores the importance of accessible exhibition opportunities.

"We're seeing a real generational shift in the arts right now in the Valley," says Jennifer Casey, Executive Director of Comox Valley Arts. "So many new and younger artists are stepping forward with fresh perspectives and powerful ideas. Thresholds captures that sense of change — of crossing into something new — and it's exciting to share that energy with the thousands of people who pass through YQQ every day."

Opening Event — Everyone Welcome

The public is invited to celebrate the launch of Thresholds at a free Opening Reception on Wednesday, November 19 at 6:00 PM in the Comox Valley Airport terminal. Admission is free, refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend.
