ARTWRX Studio+Gallery Unveils Spring 2024 Art At The Airport Collection

The Comox Valley Airport is excited to collaborate with ARTWRX Studio+Gallery to unveil the much-anticipated Spring 2024 Art at the Airport Exhibit. The Courtenay-based group has provided over 40 unique works to adorn the walls of the terminal throughout the spring and summer.

“We’re excited to welcome the many talented local artists for this season’s show,” says Comox Valley Airport CEO Mike Atkins. “They have expertly captured the essence and beauty of our region, and we’re fortunate to display these pieces for visitors and valley residents alike. Ours is a unique, large space – a perfect fit to showcase ARTWRX again this season, and we’re proud to partner with them again.”

“The artists at ARTWRX Studio+Gallery Society are honoured to have our work displayed at the Comox Valley Airport. We consider it our personal welcome to those visiting Vancouver Island and a comforting reminder of home to those jetting off on their adventures,” said gallery manager and artist Sharon LaLonde. “Thank you to the Comox Valley Airport for this opportunity.”

ARTWRX Studio, previously known as Art Alchemy Studio, is a collective of artists who share a creative space and the journey of art creation. The studio welcomes visitors by appointment and is open for public viewing every Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm.

For art enthusiasts unable to visit in person, a virtual gallery is available on the Comox Valley Airport’s website. All displayed pieces are available for purchase through ARTWRX Studio or directly from the artists. This exhibition will be available until mid-October.
