Special Y.A.N.A Fundraiser at YQQ's On the Fly Cafe On June 14, 2011, YQQ's On the Fly Cafe invites you to have "A Latte Fun" for a great local cause. On the Fly Cafe owners, Andrea Wagemaker and Jackie Blocka, will be raising funds for Y.A.N.A, a local charity that supports families whose children require access to medical services outside the Comox Valley. This unique organization has funded thousands of trips for required medical treatment in Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto and even the United States and England. On the Fly has developed a special edition, reusable mug and $5.00 from every purchase will be donated to Y.A.N.A. A special blend of coffee will be featured and donating customers will receive a free cup of coffee or tea and an opportunity to spin the prize wheel for a chance to win a barbeque, courtesy of Home Depot. JetFM will be broadcasting the event live and the Comox Valley Airport Commission will be matching all funds raised. A local family (the Hargreaves) who have benefited from Y.A.N.A's support will be available at the event to speak to media about their experience travelling to Vancouver, Victoria and Nanaimo in order to obtain medical assistance for their infant daughter Addison.
