Brad Minton Elected as Vice Chair to the Comox Valley Airport Commission

The Comox Valley Airport Commission (CVAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Director Brad Minton to the position of Vice Chair on the Comox Valley Airport Commission's Board of Directors.

Minton will take over the position previously held by Daryl McLoughlin, who is the most senior director at the Commission.

"Daryl has done an outstanding job as Vice Chair and we thank him for providing this Board with excellent guidance, particularly during times of transition," said Board Chair Ken Dawson. "Daryl is a true leader and though he has declined to stand again for Vice Chair, I am pleased he will continue to serve as a director on the CVAC board."

Minton's appointment as Vice Chair was endorsed at a recent Board of Directors meeting. The appointment is for a term of two years.

A resident of the Comox Valley for more than 30 years, he is a widely respected contributor to the community. As past President of the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce and previous Chair of Community Futures Strathcona, Minton brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has been a director on the CVAC board since 2009 and currently works as a financial advisor, offering a valuable business perspective to board discussions.

"Brad truly understands the importance of public service," said Dawson. "The Board believes that he will be able to make a significant positive contribution in his new role as Vice Chair. I look forward to working with him in this leadership role at CVAC."
