The Comox Valley Airport Commission is pleased to announce that Ken Dawson has been elected as the new Chair. Mr. Dawson steps into this position following the recent resignation of former Chair Dave Mellin.

Mr. Dawson states "I want to acknowledge the many years of service Dave Mellin has contributed to CVAC. It's people like Dave - those willing to serve the community when asked - who really make the Comox Valley the special place it is. He is fair, even tempered, sincere, honest - a real gentleman. I am going to miss working with him on our board."

Mr. Dawson has been a member of CVAC since September 2005 and held the position on the executive as Secretary. He is an elected member of the Comox Valley Board of Education and has been active in a variety of community and non-profit organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and is a graduate of the School of Public Administration at the University of Victoria. He has worked in the fields of management consulting and finance.
