Island Express Air is offering new scheduled air service from Comox to Abbotsford with options to Nanaimo and Victoria. The first flights begins September 5 with schedule flights twice a day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and a daily flight on Sunday afternoons. Add on fares will be available to and from Powell River and Qualicum on a weather and routing availability basis.
"Island Express Air will be able to save passengers about 6 hours travelling each way" said Gerry Visser of Island Express Air. "For example, the flight to Victoria will take just under one hour and the costs will be $99 to Victoria, $79 to Nanaimo and $149 to Abbotsford will be $149 plus taxes & fees."
