Mexico Flights

The Hold Lounge at the Comox Valley Airport was filled to capacity with people of all ages excitedly waiting to board their plane bound for the sunny destination of Puerto Vallarta. Many arrived at the Airport donning shorts, sandals, and shades, despite the monsoon rains and winds that buffeted the Valley. A significant number of the passengers were large groups of families and friends looking forward to spending Christmas together on the beach. The band Fiesta helped get everyone in the holiday mood by playing both seasonal and Mexican tunes. There's nothing like trumpets at seven in the morning to wake up even the most weary of travelers. This was the second year for the direct flights to Mexico. Transat Holidays, who offers the travel packages, was thrilled with last year's winter season which saw 94% capacity. The convenience of flying direct from Comox has greatly outweighed the extra time, hassle and expense of flying from Vancouver.
