Manager, Finance and Corporate Services

The Comox Valley Airport Commission is seeking an experience Manager for the Finance and Corporate Services department. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for financial reporting as well as corporate services and analysis, process improvements and streamlining the accounting processes of the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ).

The successful candidate should be a high energy individual with strong organizational prioritization and time management skills; Strong analytical and decision-making skills; and excellent written and oral communication skills. The Finance and Corporate Services Manager will regularly be dealing with confidential and sometimes sensitive issues. The applicant must be capable to withstand and effectively deal with multiple and conflicting deadlines, which can be a source of an inordinate amount of pressure at times.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, the applicant must possess a Bachelor's degree from College or university in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related major. Five years of relevant experience in financial reporting, payroll and benefits administration is required. A professional accounting designation is preferred (CMA, CGA), or combination of relevant education and experience.
